Tara Kaprowy
I received my master’s degree in literature from American University in 2001 and have been writing professionally since. I’ve been published in magazines and newspapers both in Canada and the U.S., receiving several journalism awards along the way. I host my blog, The Toasted Tomato, on a weekly basis, which features stories about life’s minutiae. My first love, though, is writing and reading fiction. I just finished writing my third novel, Oyster. My favorite authors include Alice McDermott, Alice Munro, and Miriam Toews. I love fiction with difficult characters and moody settings.
